The Wellness Center is a comprehensive group of Charlottesville family doctors — physicians, holistic medicine experts and nurse practitioners — specializing in acute and preventive care. General Practitioner | Charlottesville Family Medicine | Preventive Care
Dr. Samuel Caughron, MD, is a Charlottesville general practitioner focused on preventive care and family medicine.
Doctor Caughron graduated from the University of Kansas Medical School in 1971 and interned at Gorgas Hospital in the Canal Zone. He served in the National Health Service Corps. His experience includes emergency room, local health department and occupational medicine practice. He is a fellow in the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the American College of Preventive Medicine.

Dr. Denise Annie Way, MD, is interested in preventive medicine, women's medicine and pediatrics as well as the broad range of family practice.
Doctor Way graduated from Albany Medical College in 2003. She left the cold winters of Albany, NY for internship and residency at University of Virginia Hospital in the Department of Family Medicine.

Dr. David Mahoney, MD, MBE, has a special interest in psychiatric disease, adolescent care, and international medicine.
Doctor Mahoney recently completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Virginia after receiving his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also holds a master's degree in bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania where he focused on the ethical implications of clinical research in developing countries. In 1995, David received his bachelor's degree in biology and American literature from the University of Notre Dame.

Ananda Cronin MSN, FNP, earned her first master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, in counseling psychology. She achieved her second master's degree in nursing, as well as her family nurse practitioner training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Her background in nursing includes working with women who had gynecological cancers, and working with hospice patients. She has a special interest in women's health.
Gerontological Nurse Practitioner | Charlottesville Geriatrics & Rehabilitation Care
Tina Rutt, GNP, has been a long term care nurse for 19 years.
She is now a geriatric nurse practitioner practicing with us at Charlottesville Health and Rehabilitation Center (formerly Heritage Hall Nursing Home).
Family Nurse Practitioner | Charlottesville Adolescent & Children's Health
Steve Fetcho, FNP, graduated from UVA with a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He has worked in a family practice setting for several years as well as in the Hospital's emergency room.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. His interests include: high blood pressure, diabetes, adolescent and children's health.
